Matthew Ashman is a PhD candidate in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge, where he is supported by the George and Lilian Schiff Foundation. His research interests lie within probabilistic machine learning, and are are motivated by the need to improve decision making and prediction in the presence of uncertainty. He has spent time working at Microsoft Research and the Australian National University. Prior to his PhD, Matthew received a MPhil in Machine Learning 
and Machine Intelligence and a MEng 
in Computer Engineering, both from the University of Cambridge.

Having had a successful career as an investment banker & trader, Mark Anderson has built a global reputation as a consultant and ‘trouble-shooter’ for businesses, particularly those with Anti- Money Laundering, Financial Crime & HR-related issues. Mark has worked with Governments and quasi-Governmental institutions worldwide as well as some of the world’s leading financial institutions. His recent projects have included setting up HR divisions, working on offshoring projects and successfully training thousands of staff globally to spot and eradicate money laundering & financial crime.

An experienced strategist, product leader, and user researcher, Jessica Tayenjam specialises in innovation, cultural transformation, and new product/service development for companies of all sizes. Jessica has worked with major brands such as HSBC, Boots, Visa, UNICEF, Dominos, British Gas and NatWest with projects across Europe, the Americas and Eastern Asia. She is also a startup advisor and has mentored a range of new ventures over the last 12 years.

As a Fellow at the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation, part of the Judge Business School, Jess is passionate about social inclusion and sustainable business. Her particular areas of interest are developing women and gender diverse individuals' leadership and inclusion in the corporate space.

Professor Pietro Liò is a Full Professor at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Computational Biology and a member of the Artificial Intelligence group. He holds an MA from Cambridge, a PhD in Complex Systems and Non-Linear Dynamics from the University of Firenze, and a PhD in Theoretical Genetics from the University of Pavia.

His research focuses on using AI and machine learning to develop models that integrate multi-scale biological and clinical data to address personalised and precision medicine. He is particularly interested in Graph Neural Networks, AI-based medical digital twins, and decision support systems.

He is a Fellow at Clare Hall College, a member of the Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine, ELLIS, and the Academia Europaea. He also teaches Geometric Deep Learning and serves on several key committees, including the MPhil in Computational Biology programme.

Cheng-Yu (Kou) Huang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physiology, Development, and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. His research interests lie in efficiently processing and interpreting multivariate biological data. More specifically, his current research in computational neuroscience focuses on understanding how spatial representations of the external world in the brain degrade in dementia and how these changes contribute to difficulties in spatial navigation. Beyond his primary research, Cheng-Yu is dedicated to scientific outreach and education. With a background in physics and biology, he frequently teaches data science and image analysis to biological researchers at institutes across Japan and Taiwan.

Dr Scott Annett is a Fellow of Robinson College and a Bye Fellow at Homerton College. He is currently the Senior Tutor at Robinson College, with responsibility for pastoral care, admissions and the academic performance of both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is an Associate Professor in English, specialising in the interconnections between English and Italian literature.

At the moment, his research concentrates on the writing of Dante, Chaucer and Samuel Beckett. He is a CELTA qualified English language teacher, and recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teacher and Learning in Higher Education. He is the Education Director for the Homerton International Programme.

Dr. Alex Smeets is the founder of Cambridge Innovation Solutions and Cambridge Funding Solutions, offering consultancy services to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and universities. He is an Associate of Cambridge Enterprise, where he contributes to its International Outreach Programme, helping global institutions learn from the Cambridge Phenomenon.

Alex is also affiliated with St John’s Innovation Centre, supporting early-stage knowledge-based businesses, and is a registered Growth Coach for the UK GrowthAccelerator service. With a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge, he has a background in R&D before transitioning to innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge commercialisation.

During his time as a undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, Jonny Andrews studied Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion, with particular focus on religion in the Pacific Islands and the ever-changing global religious landscape. He also represented the University of Cambridge at rugby and cricket.

Since graduating from Homerton College, he has worked for BlueBridge Education as Special Projects Manager and for Cambridge University Rugby Club as Assistant DirectordRugby. He is also currently studying for a Masters in Social Innovation at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
